OUR CLIENT
Our client is a leading global company within the telecommunications sector.
They are going through a lot of change at the moment, having acquired a number of businesses in the South and Sub-Sahara Africa region. The HR team is headquartered in South Africa, with a number of smaller HR teams across Africa, including in Kenya and Tanzania.
THE ROLE
The business requires an experience Organisational Development specialist who has experience in M&A and in the Africa region. You will work very closely with the Learning and Development team and exposure in both OD and L&D are going to be vital for this role. This is not a role for an HR generalist looking to specialist and such applications with not be considered.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
* You will be responsible for the entire Africa region and will need to come up with ways of working which reflect the businesses current culture and values
* You will implement and deliver all global initiatives within the Africa region
* You will be the Learning and Development representative for the Africa region and will actively participate in the design and delivery of al L&D initiatives globally
* You will provide support to all business areas in transition management in order to increase the overall effectiveness of the business t
* You will be responsible for managing the OD team itself and therefore will need to have strong management skills and enjoy developing your own team and have experience in doing so
* You will be involved in various well-being initiatives
YOUR BACKGROUND
* You will be educated upto Masters degree level
* You will have at least five years experience in a Director level role in OD, Learning and Development specifically
* You will have a further 10 years experience in a multi-jurisdictional multinational business where the focus of your work as been in organisational development and change management
* You will need to demonstrate your exposure to working in the integration of businesses following extensive M&A activity
* You will already have experience working in sub Saharan Africa and be open to travelling extensively
* You will have the right to work in South Africa
