Well, if you're nervous about change, if you prefer to avoid demanding customers, and if you have difficulties championing your ideas to a successful outcome.....this won't be the next career move to suit you.
If you like to work within the status quo, if you are purely operationally focused, if you don't have an amazing understanding of the "bottom line".....this again won't be the next career move to suit you. If you can't demonstrate advanced project management skills......and certainly if you can't influence and impress at Board and executive management level.....
This employer, as a result of recent growth and restructuring with its off shore parent company finds themselves with a mix of cultures, processes, operating models and approaches to compensation & benefits. Now they need to get efficiencies and synergies. They need assistance from an expert - firstly to ensure that a group strategy is designed, communicated and implemented; secondly to champion the needs of specific business units to ensure they're getting full access to specialist resources.
Your ability to think strategically will be key. Thorough experience of C&B will be essential. Interestingly, your client workforce is in the 10's of thousands, and across multiple sites, so preference will be given to people with previous exposure to the complexities of a high volume environment. Ideally you will also have worked across multi country and matrix environments to transfer successfully into this environment.
The business is demanding reward solutions to help boost workforce performance and to change workforce behaviours, so previous exposure to driving these types of strategic initiatives will be highly regarded.
Policy development relating to all reward matters will fall squarely on your shoulders, and with a host of harmonisation and clean up of legacy T&C's yet to be addressed, that's going to take up a big chunk of your time in the short term!
I could wax lyrical about the package, the team, the culture, the organisation, the long term development and promotional opportunities, the project work.....but at the end of the day those things are beneficial extras given the size of the challenge in this role.
If this sounds like the kind of challenge you'd relish for your next career role, please send your cv to me today - if you're initial application is successful you will receive a response from us within 24 working hours, guaranteed. Please note though that individual telephone queries regarding this role will not be accepted.
