This international fund management company is looking for a financial analyst to manage the financial aspects of group projects. These projects are predominantly system implementations and range from small tactical fixes or new product launches through to large multi-million pound new system implementations spanning a number of years.
Job Responsibilities
- Ensure all projects are updated on a monthly basis with year to date and forecast costs
- Review live project forecasts with the Project Database Accountant on a monthly basis ensuring that the relationship between the current run rate and the forecast cost for the full project is understood.
- Review the forecast for future projects, maintaining up to date sensitivity analysis on the different potential scenarios with the overall project program.
- Production of relevant Management Information on Projects for Information Systems and Business Change Teams.
- Act as the Finance representative on various governance forums
- Hold regular monthly meetings with Project Managers to review the resources and costs for Projects.
- Ensure that new management accounting system caters for Projects finance requirements.
You must be a qualified accountant (ACA, CIMA or equivalent) with strong analytical skills. You must be able to question and understand financial data and demonstrate experience of presenting relevant analysis in a succinct manner. You must be capable of challenging and working from a ‘big picture’ point of view and be able to demonstrate and understand cost allocation methodologies.
